Lessons From Fluffy – Things Cats Can Teach Us

In the animal world, owls may hold the unofficial title of being the wisest, but that doesn’t mean that our other furry friends haven’t learned some valuable lessons. In fact, kitties have quite a few important things to teach us! In this article, a South London area veterinarian lists a few of Fluffy’s life lessons.

Show Your Love

Kitties aren’t shy about showing their love. There’s no mistaking Fluffy’s affectionate purrs and cuddles for anything other than feline adoration. Show your loved ones that you care for them.

Don’t Worry About What People Think

Kitties certainly aren’t ashamed to sleep in some very convoluted positions. It’s probably safe to say that our feline friends don’t spend too much time worrying about whether they look silly sleeping in that shoebox or pile of laundry. Just be yourself!

Enjoy The Simple Things

Cats may have a reputation for being finicky, but a simple box or paper grocery bag can really make your kitty’s day. Fluffy can also have loads of fun just by batting around a crumpled up piece of paper or the plastic ring from a milk gallon. Sometimes life’s simple pleasures really are the best!

Get Plenty of Rest

If there’s a golden rule to being a cat, it’s to get plenty of sleep. Our feline friends can nap up to 20 hours a day! While we aren’t suggesting that you spend quite that much time sleeping, it is very important to make sure you’re getting enough rest.

Soak Up The Sun

Kitties certainly do seem to enjoy sunbathing. Fluffy often enjoys taking her morning naps in a favorite sunbeam. We’re pretty sure that cats don’t run on solar power: they’re just soaking up the sunshine. Savor those bright, sunny days!

Always Look Your Best

Fluffy may spend hours each day carefully grooming herself and making sure her pretty coat stays sleek and soft. Always put your best foot forward!

Relax

Cats usually don’t have too much trouble relaxing. Whether Fluffy is sprawled out on a bed, curled up on your lap, or just lounging on the couch, she makes sure to get plenty of R&R. Take time to relax and unwind.
